Getting married at CUMC/WF
United Methodists believe marriage is an important commitment which Christians should celebrate through the Services of Christian Marriage.

The duty of a United Methodist minister, as set forth in the The Book of Discipline, includes: "...performing the marriage ceremony after due counsel with the parties involved. The decision to perform the ceremony shall be the right and responsibility of the pastor."

Arrangements for counseling sessions should be made with the minister.

Persons wishing to be married at Collegiate / Wesley should contact the church office (515-292-6936) and the minister well in advance of the proposed wedding to set the date and time of the wedding. Any additional materials needed in planning a church wedding can be secured at the church office.

Collegiate/Wesley provides two settings for wedding services: the sanctuary and Nichols Chapel.
