Sunday Morning Classes
Biblical Studies for Ministry (Room 123)
With a part-lecture, part-discussion format this group discusses how the Bible can help us to be ministers in the world around us on a daily basis. Leader: Mary Jean Baker
Builders Class (Room 44)
Though this class explores a wide variety of topics, many of them relate to redefining the Christian faith for the 21st century. The participants of this class have a wonderful time together, occasionally getting together for other activities, and they love the stimulating conversation that goes on within the class. Coordinator: Susan Grotewold.
Forum Class (Norman Room)
With a new speaker each week, this class is always interesting and engaging. Topics generally center on politics, ISU research, Ames-area issues, and social issues, though a great many topics are explored during the year. Coordinators: Tim Garner, Jeff Berger
M & M Class (East end of Library)
This class explores weekly issues that have been in the news from a faith perspective, using a curriculum called "Faithlink". Join us for lively dialogue and laughter! Coordinator: Lynn Kaiser
Parenting Class (Room 215)
Explore and talk about the parenting issues you face in your home, and find support from others who will listen and share their own experiences. This class is open to parents (or grandparents) with children of any age. Leadership is shared by members of the class and the staff.
Spiritual Formation Class (Pine Room)
Almost every month, a new topic is explored related to developing one's spiritual life and practice. This popular class is very diverse and full of interesting insights. Coordinator: Janet Stephenson.
Short-term classes are sometimes held during the year. See the church bulletin or newsletter for full details.
Small Group Studies
Participating in a small group is a great way to make friends in the church while growing spiritually. We are continually adding new small groups for adults. For more information, contact Rev. Kathye Harrington-Taber.
